Conan The Barbarian by Robert E Howard | Easton Press 2010

Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard, published by Easton Press, 2010. Condition is near mint. The factory plastic wrap has been opened at the top but the book itself has no damage whatsoever and presents in incredible condition throughout.

Robert E. Howard is well known for his character Conan the Barbarian and is regarded as the father of the sword and sorcery subgenre. Conan first appeared in Weird Tales magazine in December 1932 and was such a hit that Howard placed seventeen Conan stories in the magazine between 1933 and 1936. Although Howard’s stories never appeared in book form during his lifetime, he remains a highly read author with his best works still reprinted, and went on to have an enormous influence in the fantasy field, spawning many imitators. The character became a global pop culture icon through the celebrated 1982 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and has inspired comics, games, and adaptations ever since.

Tragically, Howard died by suicide at just thirty years old, making his body of work all the more remarkable for its scope and influence. The Easton Press fine leather binding presents his most celebrated creation in a beautifully produced collectors edition in near flawless condition.

A wonderful addition for collectors of fantasy fiction, pulp fiction history, Easton Press editions, or fans of Conan and sword and sorcery literature specifically.
